Hi there, I'm Olivia
I work as a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Oxford, United Kingdom.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually turned into a new chapter of life abroad.
Where It All Began
Moving to United Kingdom wasn’t in our long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it started as a job chance and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, new routines, fresh expectations. Daily chores seemed more challenging than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found places that fit, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Created ThimbleDuneBreeze
Most online content boiled down to corporate relocation tips or superficial travel guides. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap with practical advice drawn from real-life experiences in United Kingdom.
